Correct datalink protocol for installation of an Audiovox Prestige APS-901C Remote Start

0 votes
Need correct datalink protocol for the Prestige APS-901C system to be compatible with the EVO-ALL. Installing in a 2010 Honda Ridgeline.  I have gotten conflicting answers from different sources. Some say the iDatalink and Fortin protocol is equivalent while others say I need to change to D2D protocol.

Yes, as Robert said, D2D is what you want:

Tips:

---The diagram shows that the blue ground-when-running wire still requires hardwiring.  It will actually still work through data even if you don't hook it up, but Fortin recommends always hardwiring this connection, so I always do.

---I've found that, occasionally, the APS901C doesn't always pick up the tach signal through data.  It will work initially, but once in a while it'll fail a little bit in the future.  I always hardwire this too:  Fortin pink to Audiovox green/orange.

Fortin, iDatalink and D2D are all different protocols. The EVO-ALL is compatible with all three of those by a simple change in the options.

With Audiovox and EVO-ALL, use the D2D protocol.  Enable option F3 in the EVO-ALL.
