Evo One, 2019 Mazda CX5 Concerns

0 votes
I just installed the Evo One in my 2019 CX5.  I should be on the latest FW but can't recall the version number at this time.

Couple of things I noticed:

1) The TPMS light is ON when remote start is activated; it goes away once I do the take over. Im ok with that but is there a fix for that.

2) "Mazda cruise control disabled under 20mph"

I just learned, in forums, that this is a "known" issue. Itwas suggested to update to FW ver 85.11, does this address the issue with the error?

3) Hood open and remote start concern.

I did not install the hood pin switch, but considering that I should. Just learned last night that the car DOES allow to autostart with the hood open. On my other vehicles, with Evo One, it won't autostart with the hood open.

Thoughts?

1/ Yes this is normal in order to keep the factory remotes functional while the vehicle is remote started.

2/ Yes, please use the latest update, 85.12

3/ On vehicles will a factory hood switch , the module will detect the hood via can-bus. Verify that option A11 is turned ON. If the vehicle does not have a factory hood switch, the module will not be able detect the hood being open. And aftermarket hood switch must be added for safety.

Thanks for the response.....

2) OK.  This is what I have. FlashLink Manager: 4.51   |   FlashLink Updater: 4.05   |   Evo One: 85.09  SN: 002B07 269105

I tried to update the Evo One but it only goes up to 85.09.  When I look at "view other firmwares", 85.09 is the highest it goes.  How can I update to 85.11 or 85.12.

3) Looks like A11 is turned ON
85.12 will be available for you now.

3/ You will need to add a hood switch, the vehicle is not equipped with one.
Perfect... thank you.

Everything works, including the Linkr LT2.

On a side note, I noticed in the Linkr LT2 app it shows doors are unlocked.  The door is physically locked but it does not indicate that in the app. Not a big deal. I just lock it again to be safe.

I could really use a new "warning, remote start" sticker.... wink, wink.
