Lexus NX300 - Fortin EVO one with EVO start LTE cannot remote start with app

0 votes
My EVO Start LTE can only see the status of the car but cannot control it. The remote control works for the EVO ONE with 3x lock, but using the app for EVO start cannot remote control my car.

One thing I notice is when flashing the firmware, there is no option to select EVO start LTE but only EVO start 2. Could this be the problem?

Hello,

The evo-one is designed to support evostart lte out of the box, no options are required.

Ensure that you have plugged the evo-start lte blue conector into the small blue connector on the evo-one module. Do not plug it into the t-harness if one has been used.

Also ensure you are following the in vehicle programming steps outlined in the programming guide (page 4&5): https://fortin.ca/download/102151/EVO-ONE_IG_EVO-START_QUICK-GUIDE_A_102151.pdf

Best regards.

I have plugged into the EVO ONE module directly with the small blue connector, yet I still cannot remote control my car from the app. The remote starter firmware for the EVO ONE is already updated to 1.26 as per manual instructed.

Note that I have installed it without Antenna. I don't suppose I will need Antenna if I only want to remote control from the app?
Did you program the evo start to the evo one?

The evo-start lte module/antenna must be plugged in in order for it to function.
I followed the EVO START guide, EVO START LTE module is plugged into the blue connector of the EVO ONE, tried step 1 to step 6 on page 4&5, but no parking light flashed.

Large blue connector is not connected as I do not have the RF kit, and so I cannot follow step A to E on page 4&5.

At the app, when I press engine start or door lock, the app will show successful, but there is no commands taken at the car.

So for the app, reading data from the car works, including engine Idle/start, door open/close, trunk open/close, car disarm/armed, GPS, but none of the remote control works.
Before attempting programming press unlock on the OEM remote.

To know if it programmed:

If following the valet switch method, the red led uner the yellow loop will blink once on its own when you let go of the brake.

If following the on off on method, the red led under the yellow loop will blink on its own once you release the brake pedal on the 4th press.

If you still cannot get it to program I suggest calling technical support to have an agent walk you through it in the vehicle.
