Preferred setup for 2016 Mazda CX-5

0 votes
Hi, Sorry if this question was answered previously but I'm not seeing my answer.

I have a 2016 Mazda CX-5 (push-to-start automatic) and would prefer not to use a seperate fob.

• Will any of the options allow for takeover so the car doesn't stop when the door opens?

• Which option would allow me to add a mobile (smartphone) solution down the road?

• Do any of the options require no cutting of cables in the vehicle (true plug and go)?

• Are any functions not available by my using the factory fob alone?

• Is there a different start sequence that doesn't sound the horn? My days start early and I don't want my neighbours to hate me.

thanks!

EVO-ONE + THAR-ONE-MAZ3 will offer everything you need.  The THAR-ONE-MAZ3 is a vehicle specific t-harness.

We have a telematics device that is currently available locally. https://www.evo-start.ca/home

If not in the covered area, the evo-one is compatible with various types of telematics devices such as the Crimestopper Teleconnect. All compatible RF-KITs and telematics devices can be found here: https://fortin.ca/en/technology/rf_kits.html

All functions of the EVO-ONE can be controlled by the oem remote. Note that if your vehicle cannot currently open the trunk while the engine is running from the factory remote, the evo will not change that and you would not be able to open the trunk from the factory remote when the car is remote started.

For the honks, it's the car honking. Nothing we can about that aside from enabling starting the car by pressing lock-unlock-lock instead of lock-lock-lock.  On some vehicles, horn honks are user controlled and can enabled or disabled. Check your vehicles owners manual.

Professional installation highly recommended for this installation.

Thanks, Robb. Is the T-harness not available for retail purchase from the site? I didn't see an add-to-cart option.

I'd be getting someone to do the install for me, but prefer to purchase and program the unit myself.
