Can we program a bypass without a key for 2008 Subaru Impreza

+3 votes
A customer told me i-data link has a " decryptor ' type system to program all Subaru. He has a 2008 Impreza. I didn t look into that myself. I don t deal with other than Fortin. Maybe your website is not up to date yet and you do decrypt Subaru keys now.

Either use a key or the TB-Subaru (dealer scan tool required).

The iData piece does transponder only. 2 units would be required anyway to do all other Can-Bus functions.

yes now you tell me, he told me 2 boxes were needed.

I can't deny though that yes they have a solution for Subaru that does not require a key or going to the dealer to have the unit programmed.

I'm hoping we will have a solution for this in a near future, and when we do, I'm pretty sure engineering will stick it in one box. :)

i am not the guy to say, "hey, don't use their products bla bla bla". In the end, you want to make your clients happy, and simplify your actual work load.  Nothing wrong with having a different solution for a vehicle here and their when it can be the difference of closing or not closing a sale.

We are 2 hours drive of closest Subaru dealer. So its anoying. I don t go other way than Fortin bypass. Because I m use to the product and love the technical assistance I get from you guys.

I don t think other products are not good , I just work comfortable with what I know.

Thanks .
