2012 Terrain Evo-All Standalone will NOT remote start

0 votes
Installed as stand alone.  Did not connect valet switch, hood pin or parking lights at this time.  Used t-harness, also connected the brown wire to the OBD plug pin 1 (green).  Programming took correctly.  Unit has blue light when vehicle is off, vehicle on all lights off.  Remote start does not work, pressing lock button on remote does not make blue light flash on unit.  C1/D1 turned on.

It does not sound like your unit actually programmed to the vehicle.

The entire programming relies on that 1 connection tothe OBD-II pin 1.

During the programming procedure, it says release on blue, plug in the connectors and turn ignition on. At that point, if the blue LED only turns off but does not alternate, the the eVO is not detecting the vehicles CAN netork. This can be caused by a connection or the vehicle being asleep.
