Connecting an AX-RF2

0 votes

I found a guide for the AX-RF2 / Fortin FTX44 (here for reference) and am a little confused.  First of all, mine didn't come with the RF-A2A so I'm looking at wiring it in.  The 3rd picture shows the do-it-yourself method but does not show the need for a fuse.  Am I correct that one is needed?

Also, is there a manual for this remote somewhere?  I only found one for the FTX64 on Crutchfield's website

Thanks for your help as always!

Correct. You cant see it in the picture because it was cropped down to show which one of the black wires you'll need from the antenna cable.

Owners guide for ftx44 1way or 2way can be here:

Note: The owners manual are made for the evo-one. Some features indicated in those guides will not work if using the rf-kit with an evo-all.

Hope this helps!

I did some more digging and it looks like the EVO-ONE will supply the power needed to the antenna whereas the EVO-ALL will not.  Is that true even if the EVO-ALL is in standalone mode?  2011 Ford Focus if it matters
Nevermind.  I have a T-Harness so it already has the necessary wires
