Mazda 3 2018 - Evo One - Rear Defrost

0 votes
I installed a Evo one in a Mazda 3 2018 push to start automatic with the Thar-One-Maz3 Harness with OEM remote (3x lock).

I want to activate the rear defrost on remote start. I have activated the option 39.

On wirecolor, it says that the rear defrost is "Positive".

Two questions :

- What option should I take for 25 ? (there are 6).

- How I set the A13 wire to send positive signal ?

- How do I wire the A13 ? Do I simply tap on the vehicule wire ?

Thanks !

How can I activate the rear defrost ? On wirecolor, it says that the rear defrost is "Positive". I have activated the option 39. What

Hello,

First you would want to test the defrost circuit in the vehicle to see if it is a momentary, timed or latched signal. Once you know that you would set option 25 to match.

To connect it you would need a relay to convert the negative output into a positive. Websites such as the12volt.com has relay diagrams you could refer to for this.

Do not connect the wire directly, you will permanently damage the unit or worse the vehicle.

Best regards.

Hi,

Thanks for the answer. However, I think that wirecolor is showing the constant positive wire. Do you know where the relay wire is located and it's color ? That way, it would require less amp.

I guess that the relay wire is negative also.

Thanks !
I do not have that information.
