2007 Lexus GS350 - Issues with INT-SL+ recognizing door locks

0 votes
I just wired up my EVO-ONE to my 2007 Lexus GS350. I followed the guide and ended up having to go through all the wiring diagrams to confirm which wires were correct. Just a heads up if you wanted to update the instructions as all the wiring is correct from the photos but most of the colours didn't match the vehicle and wiring diagrams. The photo shows an Avalon interior so that might possibly be why they are different.

I updated the EVO-ONE and INT-SL+ to the latest firmware and chose the correct year/make/model. I was able to program my key to the EVO-ONE with no issues, but I am unable to get the INT-SL+ to recognize when I press lock on the driver door. I've connected it to the same wire shown in the instructions (~door lock data) however mine is red in colour.

Is this the correct wire to use or is there something else I can try?

Thanks!

Hello,

The int-sl+ should be on firmware 0.17 in order for it to function for door locks in this vehicle. Once that is done, re program the int-sl+.

Hi Derek,

I've flashed it back to firmware 0.17 and was able to get the light to flash but I still have zero response either to lock/unlock the doors or start it. I've re-programmed the key again and the doors again with no success.

Is the EVO-ONE able to remote start the vehicle without the doors involved? I turned off anything door related in the settings for the module and was still unable to get it to start. Not too sure where to go from here.

Thanks
I would suggest you call into technical support so an agent can go through the set up with you. Remote start should be working, a few things to check before calling in:

- make sure the yellow loop has been cut (automatic tranmission only)

- ensure that the evo-one is not in valet mode

- ensure the hood is closed and the hood pin wire is not grounded.

Something to add here, not sure how you are attempting to remote start, but 3xlock is not supported on this car. It needs an RF-KIT.  The RF-KIT also needs to be paired. Pairing instructions depending on the model, can be found here: https://fortin.ca/en/technologies/compatible-remote-controllers/
Thank you for the replies, I am also using an RM942 kit.

It turned out the antenna wasn't turning on, I managed to cycle the ignition twice and it activated.

I was having an issue with it starting and running for two seconds and shutting off however I did fix that by changing from option 20 from tachless to tachless 8 second crank and that solved that issue.

However now if I start it, use unlock on the RM remote and enter the vehicle with my OEM key fob in my pocket. Either I press the ignition button without the brake pedal it will shut off the car or if I step up on the brake and try to shift it into gear without pressing the ignition button it shuts off the car and acts like I always have the brake pedal depressed. The brake lights stay on and the red light stays lit up on the EVO-ONE. I can start the car without pressing the brake pedal and I can't see to get it out of this mode unless I unplug the EVO-ONE.

Thanks
