EVO-ONE programs correctly, but 3X Lock to start does not work

Hi,

I'm using an EVO-ONE on a 2013 Kia Optima SXL push-to-start. I have updated the bypass and remote starter to the latest firmware and changed a few of the options for both, but nothing that I felt would affect the expected/proper operation.

Wiring: I followed the installation guide #17223, so I only used the CAN-BUS, power connector, and secondary connector harnesses. I did not use the bypass relay harness at all. This was kind of confusing being that the wirecolors guide mentions a few of the wires from that harness, but nothing is mentioned of the bypass relay harness in the Fortin guide. As a result, I left it out and assumed the Fortin guide was the "master" guide. I did not connect the valet button. I cut the yellow wire for "automatic transmission mode" and swapped the fuse for a 5 amp.

Operation: I programmed the unit with success following the instructions. I received correct feedback from the unit. I also tested some other things like turning on the ignition and have a yellow light. I also receive a blue light whenener I push the lock button on the fob. I am not able to create a situation where the red light comes on. I'm not sure if that is correct or not. I believe that is associated with ground (good or bad) and when the unit is running (after start).

Problem: When I press the lock button 3x, my car responds as it would without the EVO-ONE installed, but does not start or do anything giving signs that it is trying. I'm expecting it may have something to do with either the bypass relay harness, settings, or possibly a master reset with different firmware. I'm anxious for feedback. Thanks.

It seems you are missing 1 important option. In the remote starter options, you need to enable option 38.2. I would start with that first.

In the bypass options, you also do not need to enable option D5 and D6.

To toggle between remote starter and bypass, you must press the TOGGLE button in the flash-link manager program while the unit is disconnected. There is a text on the bottom right corner that will tell you if you are in Connection Mode : Bypass or Connection Mode : Remote Starter.

Wow, I literally busted out laughing! I hope you found this hilarious as well. I will enable that option and give it a try! Thanks.
Ha, I'll wait till you try that first. Pretty sure that option will get you going. Also, if the car is automatic, make sure to cut the yellow loop hanging out the back side of the EVO (i know you mentionned you did).
I enabled that option and it works perfectly! Thanks!
Thanks for the update!
Had the same exact issue! After hours of back and forth this did the trick!
