Evo-one to 2009 diesel ram tach hookup and which mode

How does the system know when the vehicle has started. Do I need a tach hookup. Also which tach mode do I program the evo-one. Is it tachless mode, or the other. 2008 diesel ram 2500

it knows by data through can bus, so you do not need to hock any wires it will automatically detect. Once you flash the module the corect seting will be applied to the evo one so you dont need to change anything.
